The Orange Ronald McDonald House is encouraging locals to get knitting in aid of children in hospital and their siblings who stay in the house.
The charity sends out easy knitting guides and the teddies go to ill and injured children in pediatric wards and special care nurseries in Central West hospitals.
The charity is also looking for volunteers for a new Bathurst Hospital service.
