Oberon Hospital Auxiliary Opens New Carers Retreat

The Oberon Hospital Auxiliary will today open a new retreat for family and friends of patients in palliative care, allowing them to stay overnight at the hospital.

The space has been designed to be an escape for families who face a long trip to and from the hospital, and has been built with the support of local businesses and community groups.

The State Government has handed around 1 million dollars to Bathurst Council to help women, girls and gender diverse people feel more confident in the centre of town after dark.
