Have you ever wondered how many toys end up in landfill each year?
It’s estimated to be nearly 27 million.
Waste 2 Art returns to the Central West in 2025 with the theme Year of the Toys, asking participants to consider the impact of unwanted toys in the waste stream, and how they could be repurposed as art.
Both Bathurst and Orange councils are holding free community workshops facilitated by local artists. The workshops will provide inspiration and tips for creating artworks.
