The town of Blackheath in the Blue Mountains was treated to a mild amount of snow on the weekend, Sunday 9th August.
A resident of the town talks about the weather conditions that day and her joy at seeing the snow.
It was raining prior to the snow fall which meant that it took a little longer for the snow to settle on the ground and when it did it was quickly washed away by more rain.
While this snow did not compare to previous snow falls in the area it was still enjoyed by some locals.
The most recent heavy snowfall in Blackheath was one year ago in August of 2019.
