Route decision delays inland rail past Narrabri

Inland Rail is Australia’s largest infrastructure project and is set to connect Brisbane to Melbourne via regional New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. With the demand for freight increasing, the Australian Government is looking to improve connectivity with the route covering more than 1,700km.

Challenges are expected to arise from a project of this size; however, a portion of the community in Narrabri is not content with the proposed route, and a local engineer has tabled his own.
